Shift Supervisor (PM)

Direct Supervisor: Front of House Lead

Employee Classification: Part or Full Time hourly at-will employment

Salary: $18.00 an hour + tips

Job Description:

The PM Shift Supervisor will assist the Front of House (FOH) Lead in running the hospitality aspect of our club and ensure that all members’ expectations are exceeded.

We are seeking a positive and detail-oriented leader who can effectively problem-solve, navigate challenges, and provide guidance to others, while establishing and enforcing high standards for accountability.

In this dynamic and enjoyable athletic environment, it is crucial to maintain and cultivate a positive culture that prioritizes the guest experience. The ideal candidate will play a key role in upholding and passing along this culture to ensure that our guests have the most fulfilling and enjoyable experience possible.

Who You Are

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Have several years of hospitality experience, preferably with supervisory responsibilities
  • Be a quick learner when it comes to apps, so they can help others use the software that helps us manage our club and memberships
  • Be able to wear many different hats to ensure the smooth operation of the facility and a positive guest experience
  • Have a keen sense for small details
  • Help lead the way for the team

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of the club, control usage and sales, and stock product.
  • Serve food and drinks and generally provide excellent hospitality to maintain a positive culture.
  • Assist in hiring, onboarding, training, and scheduling of employees, as well as setting expectations and supervising staff.
  • Assist in balancing accounts daily to ensure accuracy and profitability.
  • Using and helping others use the software that helps us manage our club and memberships.

Required skills and traits:

  • Positive attitude, commitment, and passion for the excellent guest experience with strong customer service skills.
  • Good communication skills—verbal and oral.
  • Technologically adept -- not intimidated by learning new software.
  • Motivated self-starter with strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to efficiently manage competing priorities, while never losing sight of the guest experience.
  • Working knowledge of local and state rules and regulations for the sale and distribution of alcohol.

Minimum Requirements:

  • OLCC server’s permit.
  • Oregon Food Handler’s certification.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to work on feet for 8 hours at a time.
  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Minimum 2 years restaurant/hospitality experience.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.

Team Lead

Direct Supervisor: Operations Manager

Job Description:

RECS is a fun place for people of all ages and all skill levels to recreate, compete, and gather. An important piece of this is the time folks are going to want to spend socializing in our player’s lounge after their good time on the pickleball court. We are looking for a Front of House Lead to guide a team in the facilitation of this by running the service side of the club and to ensure that members’ expectations are exceeded. This is a small hospitality lounge serving beverages (including beer and wine), and commercially pre-packaged offerings. We seek a positive leader with an attention to detail who can problem-solve and navigate the many challenges of a new operation, while guiding others and setting standards to hold others accountable. This is a fun, athletic environment, and it is important to maintain and pass along this culture so our guests can have the most enjoyable experience possible.

Our ideal candidate will have several years of hospitality experience, preferably with supervisory duties. This position will require wearing many different hats to ensure the smooth operation of the facility and a positive guest experience, so we are looking for someone with a keen sense for small details, who can lead the way for the team.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing day-to-day operations
  • Balancing accounts daily to ensure profitability, controlling usage and sales, and stocking product
  • Checking in members and guests, ensuring excellent guest experience, and helping to maintain a positive culture
  • Onboarding, hiring, training, and scheduling of labor, as well as setting expectations and supervising staff

  • Working knowledge of local and state rules and regulations for the sale and distribution of alcohol

Minimum Requirements:

We are looking for team members to help facilitate this by working under the guidance of the FOH Lead to ensure that members have an excellent experience. This is a small hospitality lounge serving beverages (including beer and wine), and commercially pre-packaged offerings. We seek an energetic person with a positive can-do attitude who has an attention to detail and who can navigate the many challenges of a new operation, while never losing sight of the guests’ experience. This is a fun, athletic environment, and it is important to maintain and pass along this culture so our guests can have the most enjoyable, positive time at RECS possible.

This position requires the ability to multi-task to ensure the smooth operation of the facility and a positive guest experience. We are seeking someone professional who, together with the FOH Lead, will be a valued member of this team.

  • Follow the FOH Lead in any reasonable means necessary to maintain a fun and positive atmosphere
